TEIA Breaks June Passenger Record
Growth Key to Air Service Development

July 24, 2006 – The Eastern Iowa Airport is on a record-setting pace for passengers in 2006 with June’s numbers the highest total for that month. Total number of passengers in June 2006 is 90,714, breaking the previous June record set in 2005 when total passengers for the month was 90, 271.
Overall, Airport Director Dan Mann said the calendar year-to-date numbers are looking even better with a 3% increase year over year. In 2005, the calendar year-to-date number of total passengers was 499,480. This year has seen a 3.1% increase with the 515,192 total passengers to date.
Mann said the passenger increase shows people see the benefits of using The Eastern Iowa Airport. “We know people have a choice when it comes to booking flights,” Mann said. “We appreciate and thank everyone who chooses their home Airport.”
