Record
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dec. 20, 2007 -
For
the ninth time this year, The Eastern Iowa Airport has broken its monthly
passenger record.
A total of 91,770 passengers chose The Eastern Iowa Airport for their
travel in November. That’s an 8% increase over the previous record set in
2006 when there was a total of 85,288 passengers.
The Airport is gearing up for the Christmas season and flights will be
filled with holiday travelers. For a reminder on the Federal

Airport Director Dan Mann expects that 2007 will be the third consecutive
year the Airport has broken its passenger record.
“During the past year, we introduced our 11th non-stop flight,
to Phoenix-Mesa on Allegiant Air, which has been a big boost for the
airport and the Corridor,” he said.
From Cedar Rapids – you can fly non-stop to: Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati,
Dallas-Ft. Worth, Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Orlando,
Phoenix-Mesa and St. Louis.
"The Eastern Iowa Airport provides more flights – on average 45 per day -
and more non-stop destinations than any airport in the region,” Mann said.
“Business and leisure travelers know the easiest way to travel is through
The Eastern Iowa Airport.”
